Psychiatrist
Dr. Guryev, MD is a double board-certified psychiatrist with specialized training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), as well as a strong background in academic medicine, addiction treatment, and public service. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at the UCLA–Olive View Medical Center, where he was selected for a Chief Resident leadership role.
Dr. Guryev remains actively involved in academic psychiatry, teaching and mentoring residents while staying at the forefront of evidence-based advancements in mental health care. He is TMS-certified and integrates this innovative, non-invasive treatment into his work with patients experiencing depression and other mood disorders.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Guryev is deeply committed to serving diverse community populations. He provides thoughtful, individualized, and evidence-based care for a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns. His clinical approach emphasizes careful listening, practical and personalized treatment planning, and strong, collaborative therapeutic relationships.
